On Tuesday, 157 new cases of dengue fever were reported in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan’s twin cities.
According to Dr. Zaeem Zia, the Islamabad District Health Officer, 56 of the 94 cases were recorded from rural regions and 38 from urban areas.
According to him, 25 patients were admitted to Federal General Hospital, 14 to Holy Family Hospital, eight to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), four to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, and one to Polyclinic, with the other 43 patients being treated at various private hospitals.
