Kuala Lumpur: On Dec 16, it was reported that Malaysia had announced new COVID-19 restrictions to curb the Omicron coronavirus variant. The decision was taken in the wake of the second case of the Omicron. The new regulations entail banning mass assemblies and employing booster doses for high-risk groups.
