The Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought further arguments on the maintainability of a petition challenging Aleema Khan’s 30-day detention under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance. Her lawyer questioned the timing of the detention proceedings, alleging she was taken into custody before the relevant meeting and notification. The court adjourned the hearing until September 25 for further arguments.
