A British MP whose family escaped Gaza said that she and her family feel “incredibly lucky” to be among the hundreds who fled from the territory. Layla Moran, the first British MP of Palestinian heritage, helped her mother’s family out of Gaza after months of waiting. “We got them out, which I still can’t quite believe. It took months to get the paperwork in,” she told the BBC on Sunday.
