Jordan’s King Abdullah warned of the danger of a major Israeli attack on Rafah, during a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron, a Royal Palace statement said. Reports have circulated that Israel has conducted all of the necessary preparations for a ground offensive in the area, which it says holds four of Hamas’s last six battalions. “His majesty affirmed … the need to intensify the efforts to de-escalate … warning of the danger of the Israeli attack on Rafah,” the statement said.
