The international community has a responsibility to stop the ongoing wars in Gaza and in Lebanon, King Abdullah of Jordan said on Sunday. The official news agency quoted the king as telling Spain’s King Filipe during talks in Amman that “it is necessary for the international community to bear its responsibility towards stopping the Israeli war on Gaza and on Lebanon.” The two kings met on the eve of the anniversary of the October 7 attack by the Iranian-backed militant group Hamas on Israel, which killed 1,200 civilians and prompted Israel to invade Gaza.
