The Japanese govt fumed after reports emerged that a member of its upper house of parliament made a “surprise visit” to Moscow and met Russia’s deputy FM. Muneo Suzuki, 75, reportedly met Andrey Rudenko during the visit to Moscow on Monday. “The govt wasn’t briefed by Suzuki on Russia visit this time, before or after,” spokesman Hirokazu Matsuno let out. “We’re issuing a warning … of canceling travels to Russia and no matter what the purpose is, we’re urging all citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia.”
