The Israeli military said that its troops and warplanes continued the heavy fighting in the Gaza Strip and attacked Hamas in several locations. The army said that troops exchanged fire and killed members of a Hamas cell in an area near a school in Shuja’iya and later allegedly found AK-47 rifles, grenades, and ammunition in the classrooms. Ground troops also located and struck a tunnel shaft that was part of an extensive underground complex in Shuja’iya.
