Israeli strikes overnight in Gaza have killed at least 91 people, including women and children, local hospital officials told the Palestinian news agency Wafa on Wednesday. The officials said that 31 people were killed in northern Gaza, 42 in the centre and 18 in the south. The numbers are likely to rise with several people seriously injured and search operations continuing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to conduct “powerful strikes” over Gaza, accusing Hamas of violating the fragile ceasefire.
