A civilian was killed and several others were wounded during an Israeli bombardment of Rafah and the Bureij refugee camp in the southern and central Gaza Strip, respectively. Local sources reported that Israeli jets struck a group of civilians in the southern part of the city of Rafah, killing one civilian and wounding three. Several civilians were also wounded after Israel shelled a medical centre in the refugee camp.
