An Israeli soldier was killed and several others injured by a roadside bomb in the Jenin refugee camp on Thursday, the military said. The soldier was identified as Capt Alon Sacgiu, 22, a sniper squad commander. The Israeli military has carried out overnight raids across Jenin since late on Tuesday. According to the Israeli military, a Panther armoured personnel carried was hit by a bomb, injuring all those inside. Another bomb exploded when additional Israeli forces arrived, leading to the death and the injury of 16 other soldiers.
