The Israeli military said on Saturday that it had ramped up its ground operations against Hamas in Gaza on Friday night. “Israeli forces entered the northern area of the Gaza Strip and expanded the scope of ground operations,” spokeswoman Ella Waweya stated. “Infantry, armoured vehicles and artillery are taking part in this operation, accompanied by massive fire,” she added.
