Israel’s National Security Minister has called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to fire Defence Minister Yoav Gallant “immediately” amid mounting reports Mr Netanyahu is looking to replace him over disagreements on fighting with Lebanon. “For months, I have been calling on Prime Minister Netanyahu to fire Mr Gallant, and the time has come to do so immediately. A decision must be made in the north and Gallant is not the right man to lead it,” Itamar Ben-Gvir wrote on X.
