Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz says he will end a state of emergency for Israel’s south, which has been in place since the Gaza war broke out two years ago, reports The Times of Israel. The “special situation” will officially end tomorrow, reflecting the “new security reality in the south”, Katz said in comments cited by the Israeli media.
