Israel attacked an industrial zone in the Syrian town of Al Qusayr on Tuesday, Syria’s official Sana news agency reported, as Israel’s army said it struck weapons facilities used by Hezbollah. The Israeli army said in a statement that its air force conducted a strike on weapons storage facilities used by Hezbollah’s munitions unit in the town. The army claimed that Hezbollah’s munitions unit is responsible for the storage of weapons in Lebanon and has recently expanded its activities into Syria in the area of Al Qusayr, near the Syria-Lebanon border.
