Israel’s army has retracted an initial assessment that Al Qassam Brigades’ Al Shati battalion commander Haitham Al Khawajiri had been killed in December 2023. “After the attack, it was determined with a high degree of probability by the Shin Bet and the IDF that he had been eliminated, and as a result, an IDF spokesman issued a statement on the subject.
