Israel’s Foreign Ministry said that it rejects the UN Security Council resolution calling for “urgent and prolonged humanitarian ceasefires” in Gaza. The ministry said there was no place for such measures as long as the hostages are being held by Hamas. The Security Council’s resolution was “detached from reality”, said Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan.
