Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said that Israel broke “every humanitarian and moral law” and was pushing Palestinians “into the abyss” as it shows no signs of halting its war in Gaza. “Israel has crossed every humanitarian and moral law that there is,” Mr Safadi said in a panel at the Munich Security Conference. “Israel is taking two million Palestinians hostage in Gaza,” he added, saying 500,000 people in the enclave are at high risk of starvation. Speaking on forced displacement, Mr Safadi said Jordan “should not be responsible for cleaning up Israel’s mess” and has warned Israel against expelling Palestinians from Gaza.
