Jared Kushner, former senior adviser to US President Donald Trump, said that Israel needed a clear security apparatus to protect its citizens while Palestinians needed a better life. “Israel needs security and be able to protect its citizens. The second element is that Palestinians need to have a better life. We need to create a state that can function and thrive so no more blame can happen,” said Kushner. He stated that the Abraham Accords were more important than ever now, adding that they addressed “long-standing radicalization and societal deprivation” in the region.
