Israel must allow safe and rapid access of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, the UN’s assistant secretary general for humanitarian affairs and deputy emergency relief co-ordinator Joyce Msuya stated. Speaking at an international donor conference in Kuwait, Ms Msuya said OCHA needs “multiple reliable entry points for aid, we need law and order, and humanitarian workers must be protected and not attacked.” If these are not done then “the flow of aid will not be intact,” she added.
