The death toll in Gaza has risen to 34,097 after 48 Israeli air strikes killed 48 Palestinians in 24 hours. Almost 80 others were wounded, taking the total number of injured to 76,980, the Gaza Health Ministry announced. Almost 500 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank, where army raids and violence killed 17 people on Saturday.
