Israel has ‘delusional war aims’: Lebanese envoy

Lebanon’s ambassador to the UK, Rami Mortada, has criticised Israel’s “delusional war aims”. Speaking in UK TV interviews, he said Israel continually moved the goalposts in terms of it aims. “They have delusional war aims. They think they can change the strategic paradigm in the region and that’s total madness,” he added. He cautioned that the “stunts or tactical successes that they think they are achieving” would not win the battle.
