Israeli missile boats have been deployed in the Red Sea as reinforcements to existing forces there, the military has said. This follows claims by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen that they have launched long-range missile and drone attacks against Israel in recent days. Images issued by the Israeli military appeared to show Saar-class corvettes patrolling near the Red Sea port and resort city of Eilat.
