Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid said his country rejects “violations targeting its sovereignty and the use of its lands to settle scores”. He renewed Iraq’s support for a two-state solution and for the Palestinians to ”achieve their rights”. Speaking at the Arab League’s 33rd summit, he also called for protecting the ”territorial integrity of Syria, eliminating terrorism there, and fulfilling the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people”.
