India has started to implement its threat of diverting the flow of river water from Pakistan in downstream, by disrupting the water stream of Chenab River from Baglihar dam. The water flow in Chenab at Maralla Headworks goes down to 5,400 cusecs, sources said. The water flow of the river was around 40,000 cusecs at the point, last week, sources added. Sources said that the neighboring country has started filling Baglihar dam reservoir with the water from Chenab River.
