On Tuesday, India summoned Pakistan’s charge d’affaires to express Sikh resentment over a recent incident involving a Pakistani model who posed bareheaded at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.

An Indian journalist on Twitter described the move as “religiously hurtful,” because Sikhism compels all visitors to gurdwaras to cover their heads.

The journalist stated Pakistani authorities should be aware of the occurrence, according to photos shared on Instagram by a local women’s clothing designer.
