Al-Kheir Hospital in Khan Younis has resumed operations after being forced out of service because of Israeli attacks in February 2024, the World Health Organization (WHO) says, adding that it helped rehabilitate the hospital by restoring “water, sanitation, power and structural systems” and by providing essential medical equipment and medicines. A new 20-bed nutrition stabilisation centre has also been opened, bringing the total number of these centres in Gaza to eight with 90 inpatient beds for the treatment of severe malnutrition.
