A Hezbollah bombing in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park last September was intended to kill former defence minister and army chief Moshe Ya’alon, Israeli police said on Wednesday. Eight Arab Israelis and a Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem were arrested in connection with the plot and are in plea negotiations, according to Israel’s Kan public broadcaster. A bomb was detonated in the park on September 15, causing no injuries.
