Hamas has called for bringing in UN investigators to Gaza to “refute the occupation’s lies” and allegations regarding hospitals, like Kamal Adwan Hospital, being used for military purposes, after Israel had destroyed what was one of the last three remaining hospitals in Gaza’s north in recent days. Israel has claimed that it has been fighting “terrorists” in and around Kamal Adwan Hospital, before setting fire to the building, ordering dozens of medical staff and patients to leave the centre, and forcing men and women to strip. Israel also detained 240 people from the hospital, it said.
