Hamas has said it is committed to the latest Gaza ceasefire proposal put forward by the mediators on August 18, which the group had agreed to, but Israel has yet to respond. The group said it is open to any ideas or proposals that achieve a permanent ceasefire, a full withdrawal of the Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip, the unconditional entry of aid, and a prisoner exchange through serious negotiations by mediators.
