Hamas has confirmed the killing of its newly appointed military chief in Gaza, Mohammed Odeh, in a strike on Gaza. The group said in a statement that an Israeli bomb targeted a residential building in Gaza City on Tuesday, killing Odeh, his wife and two of his sons. Odeh became the commander of the Qassam Brigades earlier this month after former leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad was killed in an Israeli attack.
