Hamas said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to stop humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip is “cheap blackmail, a war crime and a blatant coup against the [ceasefire] agreement”. The group said Mr Netanyahu’s adoption of a US proposal to extend the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal is a “blatant attempt to evade the agreement and avoid entering into negotiations for its second phase”.
