According to reports, the Grand Mufti acceded to the demand of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and urged people to fight against Russia, instead of leaving the country. Religious scholar, Saeed Ismagilov, also called on Muslim citizens to come out and defend their land and strengthen the hands of the army. ‘We must all respond to the Russian aggression,’ he claimed.
