German chancellor condemns Ben-Gvir’s ‘inhumane’ Gaza comments

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has condemned what a government spokesperson has described as “inhumane” comments by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Israeli media had earlier reported that Ben-Gvir said during a podcast interview that between 30 and 40 Palestinians in Gaza should be killed every night. The German government spokesperson also said there should be no further Israeli annexation in the occupied West Bank.
