The International Committee of the Red Cross has said health facilities in southern Gaza are on the brink of collapse as Israel continues to obstruct the delivery of key medical supplies into the enclave. “All health facilities in southern Gaza have reached the point of collapse,” the official Palestinian Wafa news agency quoted the ICRC’s Gaza chief William Schoburg as saying. Current medical needs “far exceed” supplies, and any more large-scale violence will force medical staff to make “very difficult choices”, he added.
