Humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza over a US- built pier in the Mediterranean are to resume, the Israeli army said on Saturday, after the structure broke in heavy seas at the end of May. “The pier’s re-establishment will allow for the continued delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza in the coming days,” the military said. The US said on Friday it had re-connected the pier to the Gaza coastline.
