French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine Varsen Aghabekian have held a meeting to discuss an international conference on Palestinian statehood to be held next month in New York. The first meeting between the two officials took place in the Armenian capital of Yerevan as Europeans intensify their contacts with regional authorities ahead of the conference during which France may recognise Palestine.
