Israel must end its war against Hamas in Gaza and work with international partners for a two-state solution, French President Emmanuel Macron has said. “Israel must immediately end the war, admit that it has partners for peace and commit to a just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian question by coordinating with all the countries of the region on the Gaza issue,” Mr Macron told French ambassadors abroad in a speech during their annual meeting in Paris. He also called on Israel to “preserve political conditions in the West Bank and Gaza for the construction of a Palestinian state.”
