The Israeli army announced the deaths of four hostages in the Gaza Strip during the military’s operations in Khan Younis. “We assess that the four of them were killed while together in the area of Khan Younis during our operation there against Hamas,” Military spokesman Admiral Daniel Hagari stated. Army officials “informed the families of Chaim Perry, Yoram Metzger, Amiram Cooper, and Nadav Popplewell”, and told them “they are no longer alive and that their bodies are held” by Hamas.
