Officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reported that the database of the tax system in the major cyberattack has been successfully secured by the IT wing of the FBR. “Trojan malware penetrated to the systems of the FBR and slightly affected operations. There is a backup of the entire database, which enables the technical staff to restore the website very soon,” the official said. Earlier, the FBR officials tweeted, “FBR issued a clarification regarding a disturbance in Customs Operations due to up-gradation of FBR Data Center.”
