EU foreign affairs minister Josep Borrell says Israel’s assault in the West Bank was worsening tensions and a “disaster in the making”. The military’s “large-scale operation in the occupied West Bank is worsening an already tense situation”, Mr Borrell said in post on X. He added that Israel’s security concerns could not justify civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure.
