The EU distanced itself on Wednesday from a Hungarian company linked to the pager blasts in Lebanon, whose chief executive claims to have worked for the European Commission. Budapest’s BAC Consulting is registered to Cristina Barsony-Arcidiacono. Her online CV lists her as an “evaluation expert” for the European Commission since 2021 and lists previous roles at Unesco and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
