Eight people were killed and several more wounded in Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Sunday, official news agency Wafa reported. Of them, five were killed in a strike on a house in Jabalia in northern Gaza. Two were killed in a separate attack on a house in Khan Younis in the south. A man was killed and several wounded in a strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in Al Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. The Israeli military has stepped up its Gaza operations in recent days in what it has described as a renewed push to destroy Hamas.
