Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed with US Central Intelligence Agency Director William Burns the latest developments in efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian presidency said. During their meeting in Cairo, the President asserted Egypt’s rejection of the continued military operations in the Gaza Strip. He also asserted the need that the international community to shoulder its responsibility to end the war and to ensure the entry of aid to the territory.
