Egypt was seeking a ceasefire deal in Gaza, increase entry of aid, and allow for displaced people in the south of the enclave to return to the north, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said. Mr El Sisi, speaking in a recorded message, warned of the dangers posed by a potential Israeli incursion into the border city of Rafah.
