The Israeli army arrested dozens of students at the An Najah National University in Nablus on Monday morning, Palestinian media has reported, the first army incursion on campus since 1992. Soldiers detained university security personnel and students after raiding the university campus, a university official told the Wafa news agency. Local media reports suggest as many as 25 students were arrested while staging a sit-in against high tuition fees, while students on campus reportedly received text messages from Israeli forces telling them “to surrender now”.
