At least 40 Palestinians have been killed and 115 injured in Israeli air strikes on Gaza in the past 24 hours, the enclave’s Health Ministry said on Sunday afternoon. Eleven bodies were recovered. This brings the death toll since October 7, 2023 to 52,243, while 117,639 have been injured, the ministry said. At least 2,151 people have been killed since March 18, when Israel resumed military attacks on the territory, ending a ceasefire that had held for two months.
