Demonstrators in the central Philippine city of Cebu gathered along the country’s oldest street of Colon to commemorate the birth anniversary of one of the most prominent Filipino revolutionaries, Andres Bonifacio. During the march, members of The Network Opposed to War (No to War) called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and denounced the “genocide” of Palestinians. Images published on X by a Filipino photojournalist showed the demonstrators also demanding higher wages for workers as well as climate justice.
