There is a huge Venezuelan population here in Florida who support President Donald Trump. I was among the crowds yesterday, and they had their Make America Great Again hats on. They were incredibly happy. There have been some shifts recently because you have to look at the wider political situation down here in Miami-Dade County. It’s typically been a Democratic area, but it went to Trump in the 2024 election. However, there are around 600,000 Venezuelans here under what’s called Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which is something that former US President Joe Biden brought in because it was too dangerous for them to go back to Venezuela.
