EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Friday that depriving people of food was a “serious violation” of international humanitarian law and “totally unacceptable”. He called for Gazans to be allowed access to aid after dozens were killed while queuing for humanitarian supplies. “I am horrified by news of yet another carnage among civilians in Gaza desperate for humanitarian aid … unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza must be granted,” he said on X.
